FAQ

Hotel questions

Can Tally take a booking or a payment?

Tally doesn't book rooms or take payments. It takes the guest's request, like dates and number of guests, and emails it to your team so you can call back and finish the booking.

What if a guest wants to talk to a person?

They can ask any time. Tally takes their name, number and what they need, and emails it to your team as a callback request.

Can Tally help with late arrivals and check-in?

Yes. Tally shares the check-in steps you approve, like the after-hours entrance, where to park and check-out time. It takes the guest's name and arrival time and emails them to your team.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. You keep your number. Set it to forward calls to Tally after hours, or all day if you like. You can change that any time.

What about urgent issues, like a leak or a gas smell?

Tally takes the details, marks the call urgent and emails your team. If a life is at risk, it tells the caller to call 911. For a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, it tells them to leave the building first, then call 911 from outside. Tally doesn't call 911 for them.

Can Tally answer in the middle of the night?

Yes. Forward your line to Tally when the desk closes, and Tally picks up. It gives the steps you approve and emails your team after every call.

Does Tally know my policies, like pets and parking?

It knows what you tell it, like pets, parking and check-out time. If a guest asks something you didn't cover, Tally says the team will confirm. It notes the question in the email.

Can Tally take group and event inquiries?

Yes. Tally gets the dates, how many rooms and guests, and a name and number. It can't check rooms or rates, so your team follows up.

The desk closes. Tally keeps answering.
